  • What has changed with the book search? "Now when you search you'll get both digitized book results as well as records for millions of other books that still just exist in the analog world."
  • Do you think people will still be reading books in 10 years? Why or why not? I think that books will still be read in 10 years but not as much. As long as there are schools and colleges there most likely will be people reading books. Also, it depends on how many authors there are in the next ten years.
  • How long do you currently read online per day (in hours)? How long do you currently read offline per day (in hours)? I guess if you counts sport articles and emails as readin, then maybe 2 hours a day Online. Offline i read maybe an hour a day.

-Do boys and girls think differently according to the article? How?
Boys performed, on average, better on perceptual analysis, whereas girls earned higher marks on tasks involving physical dexterity and processing speed. Girls were also slightly better at verbal tasks involving learning and reciting groups of nouns—however, beyond the age of 11, boys caught up to them.


-When do most people develop most of their cognitive abilities? Is this new information for scientists? Around age 11 or 12. Yes it is


-Does income relate to intelligence according to this article?
Yes it does. high-income children outperformed their less wealthy peers on both IQ tests and an exam designed to replicate achievement in various academic subjects. Lower income kids performed at a lower level than others in reading comprehension and mathematical calculations but were competitive in basic cognition, memory and reading skills, indicating that poverty may affect development at the level where different abilities must be combined, such as verbal skills and memory, in the case of reading comprehension.

Because of the fact that 44% of websites that existed vanished in 1998.

This article is about the fact that the government wants to spend money on a project to keep data of websites that are important. I really have no intrest in this article cause what ever i say has no importance to the government so i guess i dont care much about this article.

4. What is a 404 error on the web? It is an HTTP standard response code indicating that the client was able to communicate with the server, but the server could not find what was requested, or it was configured not to fulfill the request and not reveal the reason why.

5. What is 'e-commerce'? Electronic commerce consists primarily of the distributing, buying, selling, marketing and servicing of products or services over electronic systems such as the Internet and other computer networks.

6. What is the difference between ebay and craigslist? When you search for craigslist, you type in an area and it shows different products available in that area. When you look for something on ebay, you don't know where it is coming from.

8. What are the two major ways for home users to connect to the Internet via a high speed connection? DSL and Broadband are the ways to connect to the Internet via a high speed connection.
