2 questions

1. Of all the things we've done this year. which are the most useful and important up to this point? I guess microtype because it helped us with our typing speed eventhough it was one of the most boring.

2. What do you WANT to learn about computers in the last 9 weeks? How to download socom and play thoughout the network. Don't really care much about what we have to learn, only that it's interesting.

The article was about how people are aiming to fix americas failing schools by having educaional video games and not books. From what the article says the video games are going to teach as well as entertain. The article also states that the video games won't be any type of violent video games that would encourage aggresive behavior. Schools are starting or already started testing if video games help kids learn. My opinion is that i guess the video games might help some kids get their grades higher and hel pthem learn. So if it does work then schools that are failing should use this method if it doesnt work then the schools have to get some ideas similar to this. The idea of having video games teach is a good idea because its something that most kids are inerested in so why not have it teach kids while they play. They should start using stuff kids are interested in and turn it into somethng that will help kids learn.

  • Was the developers' behavior ethical?
No because they got millions of dollars while we have to pay our money because of taxes. So they should atleast have done something good with the money like give it to a neighborhood which has no education so the area can build a school for the needy.
  • How can this be avoided in the future?
This can be avoided by having our government look into it and trying to come up with an idea to stopall this. They might not do much since they do have to pay taxes like the rest of us.

Write a review. Is it a good idea or not? Would you use it or not?

I thinks its a good idea to keep track of money but it doesnt really explain it very well. They could explain the site more so it would be easier for the user to understand what its is. I wouldn't use this because i have no idea what i would need this for but for other people it might be helpful. I would have no reason or point to use this site.

Last movie seen

The last movie I saw was 300. I thougt that this movie was very ficticious but overall an awsome movie. I enjoyed the battle scenes and the setting of the movie. Although this movie had little to do with history its action and storyline made up for it. Also the battle scenes were put into slow motion making it to long. The movie had great cinematography, the dialouge was not bad and the story is legendary. All in all, I thought the movie was descent.

One suggestions to make class more conducive to learning.

How can a system be designed so students care more for learning?
One system can be having teachers actually teaching their students instead of them sitting down and giving busy work. Meaning some teachers dont really do their job teaching kids, maybe because they hardly get paid for what they do or they just dont know how to teach, basically we need teachers that can make us learn and not confused.

There are many companies working to make renewable energy possible. Of course there are profit motivations, perhaps there are ethical concerns as well. Read this article and summarize it on your blog in your own words.
This article wqas bout how people in hong kong can generate electricity while they excercise. The amount of electricity isn't to much but enough to power little things. They generate electricity while they dance or do excercise or anyother type of physical activity.

Companies state their earnings every quarter. In this case an international company is not making as much as expected: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/03/02/technology/02dell.html?_r=1&oref=slogin

Why aren't they as profitable now? Answer this question with information from the article and your own personal insights.
They aren't as profitable now because dell is having trouble selling their products which is making them earn less money than expected. "The company said its internal investigations into the accounting problems had reduced income by $89 million, or 3 cents a share." This shows that the company is also losing money because of acounting problems which makes their earnings even less.

How much should environmental concerns play into business? What are the states doing here?
Is it a good idea? Read the second page. How does Maine deal with recycling electronics?
Environmental concerns should have a big role in business. It is a good idea because it will increase their standards. Maine is saving wastes and making these wastes into important products. They are making it easier to recycle.
