Healthcare - Optical:

1)Opticians, licensed and non licensed needed for a busy Optometric office. You must have minimum of 3 years of optical sales experience. No Sundays or evening hours. We offer vacation, 401K, health benefits, holiday pay, and a fun working atmosphere. We have excellent pay plus commissions.

2) optemetrist:
Seeking TPA certified Optometrist, preferably with at least one year's experience post-training for a very busy 3 comprehensive Ophthalmologist, one Optometrist practice in a bucolic two-college CT town. Practice in existence since 1953 and considered the premier practice in a 35 mile radius. All 3 Ophthalmologists and the present Optometrist have been trained at stellar institutions and finished with high honors. Very well-appointed, updated suburban office with ample free parking and state of the art equipment (two ARs, Humphrey Visual Field, OCT, fluorescein and stereo photo capability, topography, pachymetry, A/B scan, AO phopters, excellent indirects and slit lamps, etc). Optical shop and Orthoptist on premises. New OD will assume the practice of a wonderful part-time OD who has been with the practice for nearly 5 years and now wishes to return to her home area in another state. The right OD will co-manage LASIK and other patients, do routine eye exams, fit contacts and see emergencies. One evening per month required. Schedule (FT/PT) flexible. Excellent benefits including health and pension/profit sharing. Pay commensurate with education, experience and other talents (computer skills, low vision, etc) Ideal candidate is a gentle, compassionate person with great depth of knowledge and an affable personality. Start in June 2007.

Get ready. The business is heavy from all directions. We need someone who can assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Informing customers of specials
  • Ensure that the customer is exposed to our full product line

3) Service Technician

The Service Technician provides high quality repairs and maintenance to our customer’s vehicles.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Report to work at time designated by management.

· Maintain neat and professional appearance as designated in the Employee Handbook and the Service Department Quality Process Manual.

· Company uniforms must be worn at all times. No T-shirts advertising other businesses are acceptable. Shortage in uniforms must be reported to your group leader.

· Accept and perform all work assignments dispatched from group leader or lead technician.

· All vehicles must be road tested before work, except where safety is an issue. State laws must be complied with at all times. Seat belts should be worn at all times.

· Inspect and advise Service Manager of all repairs needed. Provide quotes and availability of all parts required. No repairs are to be performed until receiving authorization from management.

· Eating, drinking, or smoking in prohibited in a customer’s vehicle.

· Keep customer’s cars clean inside and out, use floor mats and wipe off any fingerprints.

· Do not listen to, change, or adjust customer’s radio, unless this is a concern.

· Maintain a high quality of professional work ethics at all times.

· Maintain a clean, neat, and safe working environment. Clean up all oil and antifreeze spills. Keep workbench clean of trash and debris. Empty trash daily. Coil all air hoses and light cords before leaving nightly.

· Adhere to manufacturer’s policies and procedures on all warranty and service contract repairs.

· Stay abreast of all service bulletins, updates, and campaigns.

· Utilize all training aids in preparation for factory certifications.

· Follow warranty parts return processes.

· Follow punch time procedures.

· Record all state inspection sticker numbers and specifications on hard copies.

· Adhere to 5-mph speed limit while in premises. Utilize care and safety while entering and exiting shop in the bay areas.

· After use of any special tools, service manuals, or ship equipment, make sure they are returned to their proper locations in clean and usable condition.

· Park customer’s vehicles in appropriate spaces and indicate space number on key tab.

· Understand and follow all specific rules, policies, and procedures of the factory and our company.

· Always conduct yourself in a professional, respectable, and courteous manner to our customers and fellow employees.

· It is essential that paperwork be documented properly and accurately.
